You are correct. Maybe "wavy" grid is more like it. I thought the area around Central Park was denser...each of those blocks have a little park inside of them. Did you know Central Park started out as a graveyard?

It's New York! It's central park! It's funny how some things are that might seem completely obvious to me are puzzles to everybody else.
I don't think Levittown was so straight grid-like. It was more wobbly grid, no?
